In March 2024, the Botswana Investment & Trade Center celebrated a landmark moment with the First Harvest Ceremony of the Selibe Phikwe Citrus Project. This event symbolized a major advancement in Botswana’s commitment to boosting agricultural production and sustainability. The ceremony was attended by 200 distinguished guests, including the President of the Republic of Botswana and the Prime Minister of the State of Bahamas, marking a milestone in the country’s agricultural legacy.

Scope

Our role encompassed designing and executing a meaningful ceremony that reflected the significance of the first citrus harvest and Botswana’s agricultural progress. Key responsibilities included:

  • Event design and styling
  • Structure and draping
  • Flooring
  • Air conditioning
  • Guest seating and protocol management
  • Creation of unique centerpieces using the fresh citrus harvest
  • Coordination of logistics and on-site event management

Our Approach

We highlighted the agricultural theme by creatively incorporating the fresh citrus harvest into the décor, using it as vibrant and symbolic centerpieces that connected the event’s purpose with its visuals. The design balanced formality with a natural, fresh aesthetic to celebrate growth and innovation. Our team ensured seamless coordination and respectful protocol, making the event memorable for all attendees.
