In February 2025, the Government of Botswana and De Beers entered into a landmark long-term diamond sales agreement, marking a pivotal moment in the nation’s economic and resource development journey. Held in partnership with the Ministry of Minerals & Energy, this high-profile contract signing ceremony represented not only the continuation of a strategic alliance but also a celebration of Botswana’s global reputation as a leader in ethical diamond trading.
