Background
In July 2023, Gaborone hosted the prestigious U.S.-Africa Business Summit, organised by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in collaboration with the Government of Botswana. The summit served as a vital platform for strengthening economic ties, fostering trade, and promoting investment opportunities between the U.S. and African nations. Attended by African Heads of State, U.S. and African Ministers, senior government officials, private sector executives, international investors, and multilateral organizations, the event was a milestone in Botswana’s global business and diplomatic engagement.
Scope
All Things Events, in partnership with Hotwire PRC, was tasked with providing full-scale décor and styling services for the closing dinner of the summit.
- Thematic event styling and design
- Large-scale tablescaping and venue transformation for 1,000 delegates
- Floral and ambient design
- Lighting and visual enhancement
- Coordination with production and protocol teams
- On-site setup and execution at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC)
Key Responsibilities Included
We took a refined and cohesive approach to the event, blending classic elegance with modern minimalism. Sapphire, gray, and white tones set the scene for a sophisticated atmosphere. Custom tablescapes, ambient lighting, and carefully planned seating enhanced the guest experience
